Apple Shifts Strategy: iPhone 18 Launch Delayed to 2027

New data from Apple supplier Pegatron confirms that the standard iPhone 18 model will not go on sale this year. Instead of the typical autumn release, the company plans to push the launch to 2027.

When to Expect the iPhone 18

During the Q2 2026 financial report, Pegatron representatives confirmed that the top-tier devices of the series—iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max—are expected to be unveiled next month. However, according to new projections, the base iPhone 18 will launch in the first quarter of 2027, between January and March.

Consequently, the Apple iPhone 17 remains the current go-to device while the company adjusts its long-term production roadmap.

Reasons for the iPhone 18 Delay

Shortages of components and technological hurdles are the main factors forcing Apple to deviate from its usual release cycle. Key reasons include:

• A severe shortage of chipsets and RAM, which has already triggered a spike in retail smartphone prices.

Changes to the Apple Schedule
