Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro Surfaces in AnTuTu Benchmarks

Qualcomm’s new generation flagship chipset, dubbed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, is preparing for an official reveal next month (September 2026) at the annual Snapdragon Summit. In the meantime, initial test results for an engineering sample have leaked via the AnTuTu 11 benchmark.

What to Know About the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro

The new hardware, internally designated as SM8975, scored 4.83 million points in the AnTuTu 11 test. For comparison, the current Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 typically scores between 4 and 4.6 million in the same test. This suggests a preliminary performance boost of approximately 5%.

Specs and Technical Features

According to available data, both versions of the chip—standard and Pro—will be manufactured using a 2nm process. Experts are currently verifying whether TSMC or Samsung production facilities will be utilized.

Both series variants are expected to feature a CPU architecture with next-generation Oryon cores in a 2+3+3 configuration:

  • Pro Version: Equipped with an Adreno 850 GPU with 18MB of video memory.
  • Standard Version: Features Adreno 845 graphics with 12MB of video memory.

Release Date and First Smartphones

An official announcement for the chipsets is expected at the Snapdragon Summit next month. The first devices to house this processor are slated to be from the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max lineup. Sales for these smartphones are scheduled to begin in September.

Is a Breakthrough Expected?

It is important to remember that the published AnTuTu results are based on pre-production equipment, so final figures may vary. While a 5% increase appears modest, it is worth waiting for the official presentation and testing of the final retail units to fully evaluate the platform’s capabilities.
