Apple increases prices for Apple Music and Apple One subscriptions: what has changed
19.07.26
Apple has officially announced an increase in the cost of its key services. Price increases for Apple Music and Apple One package deals have affected the US and a number of other regions, as a result of increased licensing fees for music content.
New Apple Music plans
The cost of an individual subscription to Apple Music in the US has increased from $10.99 to $11.99 (approximately 450 UAH / $11.99). The student plan will now cost users $6.99 (about 265 UAH / $6.99), and the family plan has increased in price to $19.99 (about 750 UAH / $19.99).
In Turkey: the increase was from 25% to 50%, just like in the USA: individual subscription increased to $11.99, family – to $19.99, student – to $6.99.
Eurozone countries: the individual plan has risen in price to 11.99 euros, the family plan to 19.99 euros.
UK: Individual rate is now £11.99, family rate is now £19.99.
India: Individual subscription has increased in price to 139 rupees, family subscription to 229 rupees.
In addition, an increase in the cost of the streaming service was also recorded in Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Nigeria, New Zealand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
Changes to Apple One plans
Apple One subscription packages have also undergone changes, although not all of them. The price of the individual plan remains the same – $19.95 (about 750 UAH / $19.95). At the same time, family and premium tariffs became more expensive by $2, reaching $27.95 (about 1050 UAH / $27.95) and $39.95 (about 1500 UAH / $39.95), respectively.
Why have prices increased
In an official statement, Apple emphasized that the adjustment in subscription prices is due to rising costs for licensing audio content. The tariff update is effective from today for all affected subscribers.
Prices in Ukraine
In Ukraine, the cost of an Apple Music subscription has so far remained unchanged, since the global price increase has not yet affected our region. The tariff schedule for Ukrainian Apple Music users is still denominated in US dollars, but is calculated at a reduced regional coefficient (on average 50% cheaper than the standard tariff in the US or Europe): Student: $2.99 per month (about 125 UAH) Individual: $4.99 per month (about 207 UAH) Family (up to 6 people): $7.99 per month month (about 330 UAH). However, one should not hope that the changes will not affect Ukraine in the very near future.
