You can now create a WordPress site right in your browser

WordPress

WordPress.org has launched a new tool that allows you to create websites directly in your browser. It does not require registration, hosting, or your own domain.

The service is available on the my.WordPress.net page and works as a local environment for creating and editing websites.

Create a website directly in your browser

After opening the page, the user receives a WordPress workspace that runs in the browser. To get started, just specify a name.

Sites created in this environment remain private. They are not intended for public access, indexing by search engines, or working with a large number of visitors.

The developers position the tool as a space for drafts, notes, research, and testing themes and plugins.

Sites run locally and do not send data to servers

All information created in such a project is stored locally in the user’s browser. Data is not sent to WordPress servers.

The new tool is built on the basis of WordPress Playground technology. It allows you to run WordPress without a server directly in the browser.

The user receives a basic WordPress installation with the ability to install themes and plugins. For such an environment, local storage of 100 MB or more is provided.

Various plugins are also available in the system, including a personal RSS reader, a tool for managing interaction with customers, and an assistant based on artificial intelligence.
