Tesla launches USB charging hub, supported only in new electric cars

Tesla has unveiled its official USB hub for the Model 3 Highland (2024) and the updated Model Y (2025). The hub turns a single USB-C port into four full ports, enabling the driver and passengers to simultaneously connect smartphones, headphones, and other gadgets without waiting in line or arguing over whose device is more important.

Limited compatibility

The accessory is not compatible with older models. Design changes in the center console of the latest versions make older hubs incompatible, so Tesla clearly restricts the hub to specific vehicles.

Integration and design

The hub is designed to perfectly match the color and texture of the interior plastic. Unlike cheap third-party adapters, which often look out of place and disrupt the minimalist interior style, Tesla’s official solution blends seamlessly into the cabin. The design makes the device nearly invisible while remaining fully functional.

Price and availability

The official accessory costs $65 (about 2800 UAH). Orders are already available on Tesla’s online store. Based on previous accessories, the first batch may sell out quickly, so owners of new electric cars should act fast.
