Tecno Pova 8 5G: Super powerful smartphone with 8000mAh battery and AI features

The Tecno Pova 8 5G smartphone is officially presented to the public and is ready to make a mini-revolution in the segment of devices with record autonomy. The new gadget attracts attention not only with a capacious 8000 mAh battery, but also with modern technical solutions, the original Alive Matrix Display external panel and artificial intelligence functions.

The Tecno Pova 8 5G model at first glance resembles the aesthetics of the famous Nothing Phone. The smartphone received a spectacular translucent back cover. An original feature was the interactive pixel screen Alive Matrix Display, built near the main unit of cameras. This mini display shows incoming calls, messages, battery percentage in real charge mode and other system data without activating the main screen, saving device power.

Technical specifications

In addition to the record battery, the developers installed a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7100 gaming processor with support for modern fifth generation networks in the smartphone. Stability of wireless reception quality (Wi-Fi and mobile) is optimized by two dedicated proprietary chips — SE1 and G1. The device is equipped with a 6.76-inch smooth display with an IPS matrix and a high refresh rate of 144 Hz.

To create high-detail photos, the manufacturer equipped the smartphone with a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 600 sensor. Selfie lovers will like the front camera with a resolution of 13 MP. The amount of memory offers a margin of safety: the RAM can reach 12 GB, while the size of the file storage is equal to 256 GB.

AI and record battery

The battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh supports the energy efficiency system: one cycle with a reserve is enough for two days of continuous use. Ultra-long degradation time is also confirmed: the battery retains more than 80% of its effective capacity after 2000 recharges.

A package of neural network features is able to collect and structure key extraction of text material from videos hosted on YouTube, programmatically draw blurred photos, optimize speech clarity and remove noise during audio calls. In addition, the front camera can perform contactless biometric analysis of the wearer’s basic vital signs.

Release date

Tecno Pova 8 5G went on sale in the Indian market from June 11. The company promised to provide users with the international price grid of smartphones a little later. An additional advantage is the brand’s excellent program support cycle: the gadget guarantees an update of the operating system to versions for two years in advance and regular release of security files for 3 years.
