Tecno Camon Slim breaks stereotypes: thin as a blade, but protected as a tank

Ultra-thin breakthrough: Review of a 6 mm smartphone with 5600 mAh and maximum IP69 protection

Tecno Camon Slim shakes up the mobile market, offering the ultimate combination of a record-breaking slim profile and reliable technical solutions. While most manufacturers create bulky protected devices, the Tecno brand has managed to bypass the usual physical limitations and pack a technological hardware base in a lightweight ultra-thin case without compromising on durability.

Premium design and protection

The main element of the visual concept of the smartphone is its elegant design – the thickness of the novelty is a record modest 6 mm. In terms of ergonomics, this device successfully competes with ultra-thin tablets, providing the user with maximum comfort in the palm of the hand with a complete absence of bulkiness.

Engineers designed the gadget taking into account strict operating conditions. The device is certified to the dual specifications of IP68 and IP69. Unlike standard moisture protection, Camon Slim is ready to withstand not only a long passive stay in water, but also a direct flow of hot water

Technical specifications

The developers were able to build the entire hardware platform as harmoniously as possible, so that the thin form factor was combined with the speed of the modern Android 16 operating system, controlled by the HiOS 16.2 firmware. The spec sheet also features efficient memory software upgrades and upgraded network modules.

The display integrated into a thin shell surprises with its characteristics: the AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.78 inches has an advanced refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and provides a resolution of 1.5K (1224 × 2720 pixels). Computing tasks are transferred to the modern energy-efficient MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate chip. The device’s memory is based on 8 gigabytes of RAM, standard for the modern period, with the system’s ability to expand this limit to 16 gigabytes of virtual memory. Permanent built-in storage comes in 128GB or 256GB capacity.

Unique features

The space on the back of the smartphone is used interactively thanks to the adaptive AI Mood Light. The node is assembled on the basis of 354 micron-scale LED points. The configuration of diodes creates an expressive light scenario in time with the audio tracks being played or performs a visual message about the internal processes of the smartphone with the participation of AI algorithms.

The integration of a large lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 5600 mAh into the thinnest skeleton of a smartphone is rightly called the most exciting design success of the new product. The electrochemical features of the resource are complemented by the power technology of rapid energy recovery with a capacity of 60 W. The accumulated capabilities of the battery promise to maintain the starting design capacity of the device during a long period of service for five calendar years.

Capabilities of AI cameras for land and water shooting

For high-end photos, the Tecno Camon Slim is equipped with a main balanced 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 optical sensor. The front 32MP selfie module is designed for challenging tasks, including outdoor group photos in difficult lighting scenarios. Taking into account the premium dust and water resistance of the smartphone, the manufacturer provided the software with special computing presets for the original underwater mode.

Many brands recognize the creation of super-ergonomic balanced smartphones as a complex technical operation. The smartphone will become an interesting and reliable alternative to traditional gadgets, if you critically need the aesthetics of ergonomics in a stylish moisture-proof design.
