Samsung opens early booking for Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip 8: what you need to know

Samsung has officially opened the pre-registration process in the United States for the expected foldable new smartphones – the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 smartphones. While the technical details of the devices have not yet been fully revealed, users can already take their place in line ahead of the official Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 22.

What does pre-registration for the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip8 give you?

Registering for new devices is a great way to get priority purchases and bonus offers. The main incentive this year is a credit of $30 (about 1,200 hryvnia), which can be spent on accessories or other goods in the official Samsung store when placing an order for a foldable smartphone. It is worth noting that the size of the bonus this year has become more modest – last year it was $50 (about 2,000 hryvnia).

Maximum benefits and promotions

In addition to a direct bonus on the purchase of accessories, Samsung promises potential of savings up to $1,230 (about 49,200 hryvnia). The final cost of the device can be significantly lower if you use a trade-in program when you hand over your old gadget. The size of the discount directly depends on the specific model that you plan to exchange.

Changes in the bonus system

Previously, Samsung held lotteries where one lucky winner could receive a gift card for $5,000 (about 200,000 hryvnia). Now the company has changed its approach: instead of one big win, it has prepared ten prizes of $500 (about 20,000 hryvnia) in the form of gift certificates to the Samsung.com website.

What is important for buyers from Ukraine to know

Pre-registration for the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 is currently only available through the official Samsung store in the US. This means the $30 bonus, trade-in promotions and gift card giveaways are exclusive to purchases made through Samsung.com US.

This program is not directly available to buyers from Ukraine. After the global presentation on July 22, smartphones will traditionally go on sale through Samsung’s official Ukrainian partners. As a rule, the Ukrainian representative office launches its own pre-order promotions, which may include increased trade-in prices, discounts on accessories, gifts or bonuses when purchasing new foldable smartphones. Specific conditions for the Ukrainian market will become known closer to the start of local pre-orders.
