Samsung has released the third beta version of One UI 9 on Android 17 for Galaxy S26 smartphones

South Korean technology giant Samsung continues to actively develop its software shell and has introduced another major update for its flagship series of smartphones. The developers have released the third build of the One UI 9 beta version based on the latest Android 17 operating system for Galaxy S26 devices. This update came out a month after the release of the first two test builds of the new OS.

The large-scale update is aimed at increasing system stability, eliminating GUI errors and improving the performance of built-in system utilities. The new test build is already available to users in several regions, including South Korea, India, Poland and the UK.   • Fixed a bug where widgets on the lock screen (such as weather and battery status) were not updated in a timely manner.
  • Improved autofocus accuracy when using the camera’s 30x hybrid zoom.
  • Fixed an issue where the home screen would freeze and would stop scrolling when using the S Pen.
  • Fixed a bug in the standard My Files explorer that prevented you from scrolling the list of files to the very end.
  • Fixed an unpleasant bug with the screen background periodically turning white when receiving an incoming call.
  • Fixed an issue with the device suddenly rebooting when playing online video streaming.
  • The problem with the black background of the screen that occurred when the notification shade and status bar were pulled down has been resolved.

How to update Samsung Galaxy S26 to the third beta of One UI 9

Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra flagship users who previously officially enrolled in the One UI 9 beta program through the Samsung Members app will receive the update automatically over the air. If the notification has not yet arrived, you can run the firmware check yourself manually. To do this, follow the path: Settings of your smartphone> section “Software update”> item “Download and installation”.
