NEC has introduced a breakthrough solution in the world of portable electronics – the LAVIE BM94C laptop, which combines extremely low weight (999 g) and an impressive battery capacity of 99.9 Wh. This device became the flagship of the updated LAVIE consumer line, combining the corporate developments of the Mate and VersaPro brands.
What is NEC LAVIE BM94C
The new product is designed as an uncompromising solution for professionals who value mobility and long battery life. 
The 14-inch laptop can provide up to 50.8 hours of standby time and up to 30.5 hours of video playback (according to JEITA 3.0 testing), which, according to the manufacturer, allows you to comfortably use the device all day without recharging.
Characteristics and materials of the case
NEC engineers were able to fit such a powerful battery into a package weighing less than a kilogram thanks to collaboration with Toray. 
The base panel uses an aerospace-grade carbon laminate with reinforced edges, and the device cover combines carbon layers with innovative ultra-light core.

NEC has particular paid attention to battery longevity. Special AI software protects the battery, allowing you to retain about 72.7% of its capacity even after 5 years of use. 
There is also a fast charging function (30 minutes of recharging is enough for a working day) and a special energy saving mode activated by one key.
