Oukitel introduced laptop with built-in solar panel and two batteries

The company Oukitel introduced the Oukitel RG14-P rugged laptop. The device is designed for field use and features an unusual design – a solar panel is built into the lid. According to the manufacturer, this is the first industrial laptop with such a power supply system.
The model has a reinforced body, two batteries and is designed for long-term autonomous operation away from the power grid.
Solar panel and two batteries
The main feature of the RG14-P is a built-in 10 W solar panel. It is located in the lid of the laptop and can charge the device even in diffused lighting.
Power system and two batteries. Inside the case is a 3000 mAh battery, and outside is a removable module of 5200 mAh with hot swap support. The total energy consumption reaches 95 Wh.
Charging is carried out via a 65 W adapter.
Hardware and screen
The laptop is equipped with a 14.1-inch touch display with Full HD resolution. The device is based on the Intel Core i7-150U processor.
The configuration includes 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 512 GB solid-state drive. Storage can be expanded.
Protected case and additional accessories
The device case meets IP68 and IP69K protection standards. The laptop is designed to work in conditions of dust, water, vibration and shock loads, and can also withstand short-term immersion in water.
A removable 8 MP camera with a magnetic mount is provided for video communication. Among the additional accessories, the manufacturer mentions a camping lantern.
The laptop runs Windows 11 and is positioned as a working tool for the military, rescue services, engineers, and construction workers.
The cost of the Oukitel RG14-P has not yet been disclosed – the manufacturer promises to announce the price closer to the start of sales.
