Nothing Ear (3a): transparent design, ANC and audio recording

Nothing Ear Headphones (3a)

The Nothing company has expanded its line of audio devices with the Ear (3a) model. The novelty is distinguished by a bright palette of colors and a proprietary transparent design of the case. Nothing Ear (3a) is equipped with a powerful 12 mm dynamic driver, which, as the developers assure, provides 5 dB deeper bass and an extended frequency range compared to the previous Ear (a) model.

Technical characteristics and capabilities

One of the key features was the built-in 32 MB flash memory, which allows you to record audio fragments directly through the headset with one touch. Recordings are automatically synced with the Nothing X app for Android and iOS platforms.

The Active Noise Canceling (ANC) system has also received a significant upgrade: it is now able to reduce background noise by up to 45 dB, while the adaptive mode allows you to automatically adjust the degree of suppression of ambient sounds.

Headphone autonomy parameters

Mode of use Work time (headphones) Working time (+ case)
With ANC enabled 6 hours 25 hours
With ANC off 10 hours 42 hours

Users have access to the fast charging function: only 5 minutes of charging provide up to 1 hour of music playback.

Design and protection

The headphones are available in four colors: classic white and black, as well as brighter yellow and pink. The case of the device is equipped with a multifunctional indicator for displaying the charge status, resetting settings and displaying system messages. The reliability of outdoor use is ensured by the IP64 standard of protection against moisture and dust.
