MSI MPG OLED 322URDX36 with Triple Mode: the gaming monitor of the future
02.06.26
On the eve of the large-scale electronics exhibition Computex 2026, MSI announced the flagship 31.5-inch gaming monitor MPG OLED 322URDX36. The novelty rethinks the concept of universal displays due to the world’s first support for the revolutionary Triple Mode technology. Gamers no longer need to look for a compromise between the flawless clarity of the picture and the extreme e-sports refresh rate, because the monitor is able to fully replace three different screens.
Triple Mode technology
The main advantage of MPG OLED 322URDX36 is the unique Triple Mode functionality. While the existing analogues in the market of OLED displays were limited to two operating scenarios (for example, monitors from LG and ASUS switch only between 4K @ 240 Hz and FHD @ 480 Hz), the flagship from MSI offers three full-fledged native image output modes:
- 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) @ 360 Hz — a scenario that guarantees cinematic quality and perfect clarity in large-scale single AAA projects;
- 2K/QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) @ 520 Hz — the optimal balance for dynamic games that preserves detailed images at ultra-high frame rates;
- FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) @ 680Hz is an extreme eSports format for competitive disciplines that minimizes latency to the technical limit.
For the first time, MSI engineers were able to successfully transfer and adapt this most complex hardware technology to high-quality QD-OLED quantum dot panels.
Technical characteristics of the fifth generation OLED display
The basis of the new monitor is the QD-OLED panel of the fifth generation with Penta Tandem technology, developed by Samsung Display. The modified RGB Stripe type sub-pixel structure successfully prevents image duplication and blurring, providing incredibly high sharpness of fonts when working with standard documents and code. It is worth noting that the hardware transition of Full HD to the maximum frequency of up to 680 Hz occurs with the help of spatial interpolation of silicon (spatial interpolation of silicon). This guarantees instant response (input lag) and prevents loss of smoothness compared to standard software upscaling.

Features of matrix protection
MSI’s flagship gaming monitor is the first on the OLED market to be certified according to the VESA DisplayHDR 600 True Black standard. The declared contrast levels and peak brightness indicators correspond to the highest segment of devices:
- Constant working brightness in full-screen mode is stably maintained at 350 nits.
- Peak HDR brightness levels in local 10% areas of the picture reach a confident 600 threads.
- In limited areas of the panel during bright game special effects, the monitor is capable of producing a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits.
The novelty has a superconductive film DarkArmor Film, which reduces the level of screen glare in conditions of bright external light by 40% and increases the protection of the display against small physical scratches by 2.5 times. Thanks to the integration of DP 2.1a with UHBR20 bandwidth, such resource-intensive content is broadcast completely without data compression. The monitor is additionally equipped with a 98W USB Type-C charging port and an AI Care Sensor for continuous pixel burnout protection by monitoring the absence of a person at the gaming table.
Price and release date
The official full-fledged presentation of the MSI MPG OLED 322URDX36 three-mode display is scheduled for Computex 2026. The specific price of the device was not announced by the developers at the announcement stage, but given the complexity of the advanced QD-OLED tandem panel, there will be no budget novelty.
The appearance of this model is a truly revolutionary event in the field of gaming devices. If you’re looking to put together a premium station for single-player runs of graphically perfect masterpieces like Cyberpunk 2077, and for maximum achievements in competitive shooters CS2 or Valorant, this three-mode display with a phenomenal sweep deserves the status of the main favorite.
