Lenovo Legion 7a – gaming laptop with integrated AMD Ryzen AI Max instead of a discrete graphics card

Lenovo Legion 7a

Lenovo has unveiled the Legion 7a gaming laptop, one of the most notable new products at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. The model stands out for the fact that it lacks a discrete graphics card: instead, it uses the new Ryzen AI Max series processor.

Gaming laptop without a discrete graphics card

The Lenovo Legion 7a is the first model in the Legion line that does not have a separate graphics card. The graphics are handled by an integrated solution in the AMD Ryzen AI Max processor.

According to Lenovo, the laptop is equipped with a 12-core Ryzen AI Max + 392 processor with integrated Radeon 8060S graphics. The chip belongs to the AMD Strix Halo platform, which combines the Zen 5 architecture, RDNA 3.5 graphics and the XDNA 2 neuroprocessor. The performance of the unit for artificial intelligence tasks reaches 50 TOPS.

Although this configuration is inferior to systems with powerful discrete graphics cards, according to the manufacturer, it is enough to run modern games at high graphics settings.

Slim body and OLED display

Lenovo has not yet revealed all the characteristics of the device, but some of the parameters are already known. The Legion 7a will receive a 15.3-inch OLED display.

The weight of the laptop is 1.65 kg. The body is made of aluminum and has an ultra-thin profile – such dimensions are rarely found among gaming models. This was probably achieved precisely because of the rejection of a discrete graphics card.

The battery capacity has not yet been announced. It is known that the laptop will support charging via USB Type-C with a power of up to 180 W.

It is expected that sales of the Legion 7a will begin in June 2026. The preliminary price of the device is about 2,000 euros.
