Intel introduced the first generation of Core Ultra processors, codenamed Meteor Lake.
The main characteristics of these chips were announced in September, and now details about the model range and technical characteristics have been revealed.
Senior Intel Core Ultra processors have 16 x86 cores (formula 6P+8E+2LP), 24 MB of third-level cache, integrated Arc GPU graphics with eight Xe cores and work with DDR5-5600 or LPDDR5X-7467 memory.
A separate unit will also be built in to speed up artificial intelligence operations. Depending on the model, the Processor Basse Power rating ranges from 9 to 45 W.
Intel Core Ultra will have the following model names. There are three series – 5, 7 and 9. Next comes the first number of the series, in this case 1, the model number (SKU) and two types of suffixes H and U at the end.

Below are the characteristics of all members of the family:
Laptops based on the Intel Meteor Lake platform are expected on the market in the near future. Some companies, immediately after the release of chips, have already sent us releases about the release of their laptops on them.
In terms of performance, Intel talks about the superiority of Meteor Lake processors over AMD Ryzen 7040 both in the speed of x86 cores and in the performance of integrated graphics.
However, final confirmation or refutation of these statements is possible only after the release of reviews of laptops with Intel Core Ultra processors.
