GIGABYTE GO27Q24G: gaming WOLED monster for reasonable money
25.05.26
GIGABYTE has introduced its new GO27Q24G gaming WOLED monitor with 2K resolution, 240Hz refresh rate and a phenomenal response time of just 0.03ms. At first glance, we have the ultimate solution for fans of dynamic eSports disciplines. However, the extremely attractive price tag of the device, about UAH 16,400 ($399), hides one interesting design detail regarding the working brightness, which is important for the future buyer to know.
The novelty with the GO27Q24G index is a classic 27-inch flat-screen model based on a high-quality white-type OLED panel (WOLED). The screen of the device is certified according to the strict industry standard DisplayHDR True Black 400, which guarantees crystal depth of dark tones and image contrast at the molecular level. Also, the device is fully compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium frame scan standards and is fully ready for a high-quality combination with the proprietary gaming capabilities of NVIDIA G-Sync systems.
Detailed technical characteristics of the new product
In terms of hardware qualities, this monitor shows record performance characteristics per unit of money spent for this model year:
- Screen diagonal: 27 inches
- Maximum resolution: 2K (2560 x 1440 pixels)
- Degree of color depth: full 10-bit palette support
- Wide range of colors: accurate coverage up to 99% of the professional DCI-P3 standard
- Activation delay: instant 0.03ms
- Frame rate: smooth 240 Hz
- Availability of interfaces: two HDMI 2.1 video ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 connector, a USB Type-C standard port and a mini-Jack audio jack (3.5 millimeters)
- Appetite level of the power supply unit: a comfortable 36 W of nominal operation

Technological features and an important nuance of the new WOLED-matrix
The novelty has a hardware module of an innovative type under the code name MLA+ (abbreviation Micro Lens Array+). The company’s development concentrates light streams from the surface of organic emitters, thereby rocking the brightness of the panel to a dizzying 1300 nits at the time of playback of video games or movies with special effects in the HDR format. The flip side of the coin is the normal, day-to-day functioning of the SDR standard. Here, the bright peak is blocked by a mark of only 275 threads. Those who like to illuminate the surrounding room with high-brightness rays from the monitor as much as possible while surfing the Internet may encounter contrast discomfort.
The working area has a special pronounced glossy design of the front cover with improved color intensity, and the alleged Anti-Reflection class protective lining helps to overcome the possible glare of dark tones.

Finding the best balanced flat WOLED solution at such a breakneck pace for moderate money without compromising contrast is a near impossible task. Based on these obvious advantages, you can confidently recommend the display to those whose main hobby is shooters, sports games, or watching flashy new releases. Support for current HDMI 2.1 communication lines will be an important lifeline both for PC gamers on the latest GPUs and for enthusiasts of current Sony PlayStation or Xbox Series X gaming platforms.
