ASUS ExpertBook Ultra is available in Ukraine: an AI notebook weighing less than a kilogram

The ASUS company has officially launched the flagship ASUS ExpertBook Ultra laptop on the Ukrainian market — a premium corporate model in which the manufacturer focused not only on minimal dimensions, but also on the integration of AI tools, increased autonomy and a modern security system. The novelty is aimed at managers, entrepreneurs and specialists who need the most mobile work tool without compromising on productivity.

Ultralight body and premium materials

The main feature of ExpertBook Ultra is the combination of an extremely compact form factor with the characteristics of a full-fledged high-class business laptop. The weight of the device starts at only 990 grams, and the thickness of the case is 10.9 mm. To achieve such indicators, ASUS used aircraft-grade magnesium-aluminum alloy with high-precision CNC machining.

The surface of the case is covered with a nano-ceramic protective layer with a hardness of 9H, thanks to which the laptop better resists scratches, abrasions and daily wear and tear. The model is offered in two design options – Jet Fog and Morn Grey, while the design is maintained in the most strict and minimalist style without bright decorative elements.

Despite the ultra-thin body, the device meets the requirements of the American military MIL-STD reliability standard, and the set of interfaces includes two full Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports located on both sides of the body for convenient peripheral connection.

Engineering approach to autonomy

ASUS paid special attention to the internal architecture of the battery. ExpertBook Ultra uses a battery with a capacity of 70 Wh with an unusual arrangement of power cells: they are located in symmetrical pairs, which allowed to optimize the distribution of weight and improve the cooling of internal components.

Engineers abandoned the traditional serial arrangement of battery modules and reduced the operating voltage of the system to 7.8 V. This reduces heat generation and makes energy conversion more efficient, which positively affects both the autonomy and the temperature regime of the laptop at high loads.

An additional advantage was the saving of internal space, thanks to this design, it was possible to leave more space for the cooling system inside the case.

Bet on artificial intelligence and high productivity

The ASUS ExpertCool Pro cooling system supports the stable operation of the processor at a TDP of up to 50 W, which allows the laptop to maintain high performance even under long loads without a noticeable increase in noise.

The maximum configuration of the laptop is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra X9 Series 3 processor with a built-in neuroprocessor with a performance of up to 50 TOPS. The device is focused on local processing of AI tasks, acceleration of multitasking and work with resource-intensive business applications.

One of the key software components was the ASUS MyExpert platform — a set of corporate AI tools integrated directly into the system.

Users can interact with the laptop using natural language, automatically create short snippets of documents, translate texts, search for files simultaneously in local storage and the cloud, and receive intelligent features for meetings. The system can generate call transcripts, meeting summaries and to-do lists after meetings.

3K OLED display and acoustics with Dolby Atmos

ExpertBook Ultra received a 3K Tandem OLED touchscreen display with a peak brightness of up to 1400 nits in HDR mode. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with a Gorilla Glass Matte coating, which reduces glare and improves the comfort of work in bright light.

The multimedia component is complemented by a six-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos support. The configuration includes separate high-frequency speakers and low-frequency modules with double magnets, thanks to which the laptop provides surround sound during video conferences, viewing content and presentations.

The keyboard received a protective excimer coating that is resistant to wear and tear, and the large touchpad is equipped with tactile feedback for precise control.

Enterprise-level security and post-quantum cryptography

ASUS emphasizes that ExpertBook Ultra was created with corporate security as a priority. The laptop uses the Asus ExpertGuardian platform, developed taking into account the requirements of the NIST SP 800-193 standard.

The system monitors the integrity of the firmware, monitors tampering attempts and is able to automatically restore the BIOS to a safe state when suspicious activity is detected.

In addition, ASUS introduced support for post-quantum cryptography at the firmware level. The device supports FIPS 203 and FIPS 204-compliant ML-KEM and ML-DSA algorithms, which should provide protection against future threats associated with the development of quantum computing.

Ecological approach

The manufacturer also emphasized the ecological component. The notebook’s construction uses up to 90% recycled magnesium-aluminum alloy, up to 35% recycled plastic, and magnetic elements are made from recycled rare earth metals.

In addition, ASUS implemented the Digital Product Passport system, which allows you to monitor the environmental performance of the device throughout its life cycle.

Price in Ukraine

On the Ukrainian market, ASUS ExpertBook Ultra is already available at a price of 159,999 hryvnias. The basic configuration includes an Intel Core Ultra 7 356H processor, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD.
