Asus Adol PM310: high-speed dual-interface SSD

Asus has expanded its line of peripheral devices by introducing the Adol High Speed Solid State USB Drive (PM310). This portable drive combines the compact form factor of a familiar flash drive with the high performance of solid-state drives, offering users a universal solution for data exchange.

Positioning

The novelty is designed as a response to the need for fast file transfer between disparate devices. Thanks to the SSD architecture, the Asus Adol PM310 significantly outperforms conventional flash drives in terms of operating speed, while maintaining mobility and ease of use.

Design and technical characteristics

The key feature of the model is the presence of two connectors: USB-A and USB-C, located at opposite ends of the metal case. This eliminates the need for the user to carry additional adapters when working with PCs, smartphones, tablets or laptops. The dimensions of the case are 82 x 20 x 7.5 mm with a weight of only 42.9 grams. Reliable protection of the connectors is provided by a folding cap.

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface is responsible for performance, which allows you to achieve a speed of sequential data reading up to 500 MB/s. The device supports plug-and-play operation and is compatible with macOS, Android, HarmonyOS, iOS and iPadOS operating systems.

Prices and configurations

Asus Adol PM310 is currently only officially sold in China. The price of the device varies depending on the amount of memory, in hryvnias (and US dollars) the price is:

Storage volume Price
128 GB 1690 UAH ($41)
256 GB 2475 UAH ($60)
512 GB 3795 UAH ($92)
1 TB 5815 UAH ($141)

Operation features

Asus managed to combine the aesthetics of metal with the functionality of modern data transfer standards. The device is ideal for geeks and professionals working with content on various platforms. Despite the lack of official data on Windows support in the specifications, hardware compatibility allows you to use the drive with almost any modern OS.  Although the global start of sales has not yet been announced, the characteristics of the drive make it an attractive solution in the portable SSD segment.
