The official addition to the AMD Ryzen 8000 lineup includes two new lines: desktop Ryzen PRO 8000G chips and mobile Ryzen PRO 8040, aimed at the corporate segment. These processors not only match the technical specifications of the already released Ryzen 8000 series chips, but also offer additional security features and expanded support.

Particularly notable about the new processors is the inclusion of a dedicated engine for accelerating AI applications, which offers performance of up to 16 TOPS, which can be a significant advantage for enterprise users who require faster processing.

AMD Ryzen PRO 8000

The Ryzen PRO 8000G desktop series offers:

  • Chips for socket AM5 with 4 to 8 Zen 4 cores.
  • 8 or 16 MB L3 cache.
  • Integrated 3rd generation RDNA graphics
  • TDP from 35 to 65 W.

Ryzen PRO 8040 Mobile Series Includes:

  • Processors with TDP from 15 to 54 W.
  • Up to 8 Zen 4 cores and up to 16 MB L3 cache.
  • Integrated 3rd generation RDNA graphics

AMD claims that the new processors are superior to Intel Core Ultra (Meteor Lake) mobile processors.

Systems based on these processors will be available before the end of the current quarter of 2024, allowing enterprise customers to upgrade their computer fleets with improved performance and increased security.
