Technology company Ajax Systems has announced the expansion of its educational initiative for young engineers. In 2027, 60 students of Ukrainian higher education institutions will be able to visit the world’s largest consumer technology exhibition CES in Las Vegas for free. Compared to last year, the scale of the program has doubled, making it one of the largest private initiatives to support technical education in Ukraine.

The project is implemented as part of the Ajax Next program and is aimed at introducing future specialists to world-leading developments, leading technological companies and current trends in the development of the engineering industry.

Ukrainian students will be shown technologies of the future

The Consumer Electronics Show has been considered the world’s leading innovation event for many years. It is here that the largest corporations, startups and research centers demonstrate developments that will further define the development of the markets of electronics, artificial intelligence, robotics, telecommunications and digital services.

At Ajax Systems, we are sure that such experience can significantly affect the professional development of young professionals. Visiting CES allows not only to see the latest technologies before most users, but also to understand how global trends are formed, what challenges the industry faces and what skills will be in demand in the coming years.

During the previous trip, Ukrainian students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the expositions of world technological leaders, attend relevant presentations and conferences, as well as present their own developments as part of the Ukrainian delegation.

The number of participants was doubled

If 30 students went to the exhibition as part of the first program, now the number of participants has increased to 60 people. The expansion of the project shows that the company considers the initiative as a long-term investment in the development of the engineering community of Ukraine.

The application campaign has already started and will continue until August 30. After completing the application process, the organizers will conduct a multi-stage selection that will allow to identify the most motivated and promising candidates.

Who can apply

Students of Ukrainian higher education institutions who study full-time in technical areas of training can take part in the competition.

Among the main requirements:

  • age over 18 years old;
  • undergraduate or master’s studies;
  • specialties in the fields of natural sciences, mathematics, statistics, information technologies, engineering, production and construction;
  • valid foreign passport;
  • knowledge of the English language at a level not lower than B1;
  • staying in the territory of Ukraine during the submission of documents and preparation for the trip.

How participants will be chosen

The selection will take place in several stages. First, the experts will form a rating list based on the submitted questionnaires. The best candidates will then be invited to an interview.

When evaluating applications, special attention will be paid to three areas:

Academic achievements

The organizers will take into account the success of students, participation in Olympiads, scientific research and educational programs.

Practical experience

An additional advantage will be participation in engineering projects, software development, creation of own devices, startups and research initiatives.

Motivation

An important role is played by the motivation letter, in which candidates can explain how the trip will help their professional development and what knowledge they plan to use in the future.

Based on the results of all stages, 60 winners of the program will be determined.

Ajax Systems will pay all costs

One of the key advantages of the project is the full financing of the trip by the company.

Participants will be paid:

  • international flights;
  • residence in the USA;
  • nutrition;
  • issuance of visas;
  • transport costs;
  • organizational support.

In fact, the winners of the competition only need to successfully pass the selection and prepare for the trip.

Investment in a new generation of engineers

According to Oleksandr Konotop, the chairman of the supervisory board of Ajax Systems, the main task of the project is not just to organize an educational trip, but to form a new generation of Ukrainian engineers with a global mindset.

The company believes that the best way to inspire young professionals is to show them the real achievements of the global industry, introduce them to the largest technological ecosystems, and demonstrate the level of tasks that today’s international engineers solve.

That is why Ajax Systems strives to make such initiatives systemic and to increase their coverage annually.

Who supports the program

The partners of the project are the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Startup Fund.

Also, informational and expert support is provided by leading Ukrainian universities, in particular Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Kyiv Aviation Institute, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Ukrainian Catholic University and Kyiv-Mohyla Academy National University.

Why CES is considered the main technology event of the year

The Consumer Electronics Show annually takes place in Las Vegas and gathers thousands of companies from all over the world. The exhibition has long become a place where key technological trends are formed for years to come.

It was at CES that many products and technologies were first demonstrated that later became mainstream — from personal computers and gaming systems to modern solutions in the field of artificial intelligence, autonomous transport, robotics and smart devices.

For Ukrainian students, participation in such an event is an opportunity not only to see the future of technology, but also to become part of the global professional community at the stage of study.
