50 years of Apple: from a garage startup to a global tech leader

April 1 is known not only as April Fools’ Day — it also marks the founding of Apple. Over the past 50 years, the company has followed a path that is now considered a classic tech success story.

Founding and early steps

In 1976, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayn launched their project, starting with simple personal computers.

Their first product, Apple I, was essentially sold as a bare circuit board without a case or peripherals. A year later, Apple II arrived — a more advanced machine with color graphics that became one of the first mass-market PCs.

The Macintosh revolution

In 1984, the company introduced Macintosh — a system that transformed how people interact with computers. Its graphical interface and mouse control laid the foundation for modern operating systems.

Becoming a tech giant

Over time, Apple evolved from a small startup into one of the most influential companies in the industry. It set new standards in design, user experience, and the integration of technology into everyday life.

Today, it is difficult to imagine the market without products like iPhone, iPad, and AirPods, which have become integral parts of the digital ecosystem.

The current era

CEO Tim Cook previously addressed users in an open letter and highlighted key product milestones that have shaped the company over the decades.
