Vodafone and Kyivstar subscribers are massively porting their numbers to lifecell
12.03.26
In February 2026, the operator lifecell became the main recipient of subscribers thanks to mobile number portability services. According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, it was this operator that transferred the most users from competitors.
The number portability (MNP) service allows you to change your mobile operator without changing your phone number. This opportunity is increasingly used by subscribers to switch to more favorable tariffs or find better communication quality.
lifecell received the largest influx of numbers
The largest outflow was recorded from the two largest market players:
- from the Kyivstar
- from the Vodafone
Small losses were also recorded in other operators:
- Intertelecom&
- Trimob
Balance of switching between operators
The two largest operators in the market are following lifecell in terms of the number of subscribers attracted.
- Kyivstar received 7,400 numbers;
- Vodafone Ukraine — 6,901 numbers.
A small influx of users was also shown by Intertelecom (43 numbers) and Trimob (22 numbers).
Due to the war, the net dynamics of the subscriber base during the month looks like this:
- lifecell — +67,878 numbers;
- Vodafone Ukraine — −28,146 numbers;
- Kyivstar — −39,624 numbers;
- Trimob — −73 numbers;
- Intertelecom — −35 numbers.
Thus, according to the results of February, lifecell became the main recipient of subscribers within the framework of the MNP service. At the same time, the largest operators on the market recorded a noticeable outflow of users, which may be due to the recent increase in the cost of tariffs.
