Ugreen PB610 turned an ordinary power bank into a gadget with emotions
26.05.26
The mobile battery market has long since turned into a competition of identical rectangles with capacity numbers on the box. Therefore, Ugreen decided to add a little character to the usual accessory. The new Ugreen PB610 power bank bets not only on fast charging and compactness, but also on an unusual approach to interaction with the user – the device literally shows emotions during operation.
Power bank with a “face”
The main feature of Ugreen PB610 is a 1.47-inch color display, which displays not only technical information such as charge level, voltage or power, but also animated emojis.
During charging, the power bank can “smile”, and when the charge is low, it can look tired or sad. From a practical point of view, this almost gives advantages, but it makes the accessory noticeably more “alive” and, instead, faceless competitors.
In fact, Ugreen is trying to turn a gadget into a device with elements of emotional design – a trend that is increasingly appearing even in the electronics segment.
Unusual design
Inside the PB610, two cylindrical battery cells are used instead of the usual flat lithium-polymer batteries. This decision makes the case a little thicker, but at the same time allows you to keep the compact width of the device and increase the durability of the battery.
The capacity is 10,000 mAh – a standard volume for an urban usage scenario. This is enough to fully charge a modern smartphone once or twice without the need to carry a heavy “power block”.
Fast charging up to 45 W

From a technical point of view, Ugreen PB610 looks quite serious. The maximum output power reaches 45 W, thanks to which the power bank is able to quickly charge not only smartphones, but also some tablets, portable consoles and light laptops.
According to the company, the iPhone 17 Pro Max can be charged to approximately 65% in 30 minutes. For Android flagships, the indicators are a little more modest, but still correspond to the modern level of fast charging.
Added convenience is a built-in braided USB-C cable that doubles as a carrying strap. In addition to it, full-fledged USB-C and USB-A ports are placed on the case.
Certification questions
An interesting nuance is related to the security of the device. The PB610 does not yet comply with the new Chinese battery certification standard that came into effect in 2026.
However, Ugreen claims to use power cells with high resistance to overheating and degradation, and the power bank itself has passed the company’s internal tests. It is more about formal non-compliance with the new requirements than about identified security problems.
Price and positioning

In China, the Ugreen PB610 is priced at approximately 199 yuan — about $30. For this money, the user gets a metal case weighing 239 grams, support for fast charging, a built-in cable and an unusual interface with an “emotional” screen.
Against the background of dozens of identical power banks, the model looks like an attempt to make the accessory more personal and visually memorable. And, judging by market trends, such “living” gadgets may become a new direction for consumer electronics in the coming years.
