The world’s first agent AI smartphone: Nubia changes the rules of the game
11.07.26
Nubia is going to go beyond the usual gadgets. The company’s next flagship will be the world’s first full-fledged smartphone based on artificial intelligence. This was officially announced by Nie Fei, ZTE’s senior vice president and president of the company’s mobile division.
What is a smartphone based on AI agents from Nubia?
The main feature of the device is deep integration of neural networks directly into the operating system. Agent-level AI means that the phone is capable of performing complex tasks on its own at the request of the user. You no longer need to search for and run specific programs – just give a command in natural language, and the system will organize interaction with the programs itself.

ZTE is betting on its CoClaw technology. It ensures coordinated work between programs, which is the key to truly automating routine processes on a smartphone.
Release date and presentation
The official announcement will be made this month. The flagship will be presented as part of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2026, which will be held in Shanghai from July 17 to 20. There, the company management promises to explain in detail the concept of a new generation smartphone.
Expected characteristics
Experts believe that the upcoming novelty is a commercial development of the second-generation Nubia Doubao model, created in close partnership with ByteDance. In the past, the company has already shown interest in niche solutions: for example, the Nubia M153 technological concept became incredibly popular – 30,000 devices were sold in one day.
If the ideas of intelligent automation are close to you, the device will become a breakthrough device in the Android ecosystem. As the industry moves towards agents that operate without direct user intervention, Nubia’s solution seems a natural next step in the development of the mobile device industry.
