MSI at Computex 2026: RTX 5090 laptops, AI PCs, 5K monitors and a new ecosystem for local AI

At Computex 2026, MSI held one of its most large-scale presentations in recent years. The occasion marked the brand’s 40th anniversary; however, the manufacturer did not limit itself to special edition devices. At MSI’s booth, new gaming laptops, artificial intelligence workstations, next-generation monitors, enterprise computers, Wi-Fi 7 routers, professional storage solutions, and its own software platform for working with large language models were showcased.

The exhibition highlighted MSI’s key development direction for the coming years: combining high-performance hardware with local AI capabilities and building a fully integrated ecosystem for gamers, content creators, and businesses.

The flagship Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition became the central exhibit of the show

The main new product among laptops was the MSI Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic — a limited-edition version of the flagship gaming computer created in celebration of the company’s anniversary.

The device stands out not only for its technical specifications but also for its distinctive chassis design. Its appearance is inspired by the Draco constellation, while the metal panels feature intricate engraving and a multi-layer anodized finish that creates a shifting color effect depending on the viewing angle and lighting.

From a technical standpoint, the laptop is a full replacement for a desktop PC. The top configuration includes an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 mobile graphics card with 24 GB of GDDR7 memory.

Visual output is handled by an 18-inch Mini LED display with a 4K resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The configuration is further enhanced by a mechanical keyboard with per-key RGB lighting, an RGB touchpad, and a vapor chamber-based cooling system.

To emphasize its exclusivity, the laptop is shipped with a branded mouse, a mouse pad, and a collectible commemorative coin.

The Artisan series also received a laptop inspired by Van Gogh’s style

In addition to gaming devices, MSI continues to develop its line of premium laptops for creative professionals.

The new addition to the series is the Prestige 14 Flip AI+ Vincent van Gogh Edition, created as part of the MSI Artisan Collection project.

The device’s design is inspired by the paintings “Starry Night” and “Starry Night Over the Rhône.” However, the laptop is not aimed solely at collectors. With a chassis just 11.9 mm thick and weighing 1.37 kg, it houses modern Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and a set of AI-powered features for content creation.

The retail package includes a branded carrying bag, a wireless mouse, and a themed accessory featuring the artistic series’ branding.

MSI is focusing on RTX 50 GPUs and new cooling technologies

A significant portion of the exhibition was dedicated to the GeForce RTX 50 generation graphics cards.

The flagship GeForce RTX 5090 32G LIGHTNING Z became one of the most prominent premieres at the booth and received the exhibition’s highest distinction — the COMPUTEX Best Choice Golden Award.

At the same time, the company introduced an updated cooling platform, the Next-Gen Thermal Solution. Engineers redesigned the heat pipes, fans, and thermal interface materials to improve heat dissipation efficiency under extreme workloads.

MSI also places strong emphasis on the reliability of modern graphics card power delivery. The new Safeguard Power Protection Solution monitors the power connector status in real time and tracks load distribution across contacts. In the event of anomalies, the system can alert the user before serious hardware damage occurs.

Local AI becomes a new priority for MSI

One of the key trends at Computex 2026 was personal systems for artificial intelligence workloads, and MSI is clearly aiming to secure a strong position in this segment.

The central exhibit here was the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ — an ultra-compact PC with a volume of just four liters.

Despite its small size, the system is equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor and delivers up to 126 TOPS of AI computing performance.

The key feature of the platform is 128 GB of unified memory, enabling the system to run local language models of up to 120 billion parameters without traditional VRAM limitations.

In effect, MSI offers users a fully-fledged personal AI workstation for generative AI tasks without the need for cloud services.

New workstations and mini PCs for business

The AI-focused development continued with the PRO MAX 80 series.

These systems are designed for professional use and combine NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards with extensive connectivity options, enhanced security features, and simplified maintenance.

For the enterprise segment, MSI also introduced the Cubi NUC WCG mini PC.

Despite its compact 0.55-liter chassis, the device supports connection to three monitors simultaneously, is equipped with Intel Core 7 Series 3 processors, and is designed for hybrid workspaces where artificial intelligence tools play an increasingly important role.

All-in-one PCs have received features tailored for hybrid work scenarios

MSI also covered the all-in-one PC segment.

The PRO MAX 24 and PRO MAX 27 models are equipped with AMD Ryzen 200-series processors and 120 Hz displays.

The manufacturer emphasizes modern office use. To this end, the devices feature a retractable 5-megapixel camera, built-in speakers, and an ergonomic stand with multiple adjustment levels.

Some configurations also offer touch support with up to ten simultaneous touch points.

MSI introduced next-generation monitors

One of the most interesting segments of the exhibition was gaming monitors.

The main technological flagship was the MEG X, which MSI describes as the world’s first gaming monitor with built-in artificial intelligence capabilities.

The device is based on a fifth-generation QD-OLED RGB Stripe DarkArmor panel and is integrated with MSI’s proprietary AI assistant, LuckyClaw. Users can adjust display settings using simple text commands without having to navigate complex on-screen menus.

To mark the company’s anniversary, MSI also prepared the MEG X 40th Special Edition, featuring an exclusive design and decorative elements in MSI’s signature style.

No less impressive was the MPG 271KRAW18.

It is the world’s first gaming monitor to support instant switching between 5K at 180 Hz and 2K at 330 Hz modes. To achieve high image quality, it uses Mini LED backlighting with 2,304 local dimming zones and VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification.

The new components are aimed at enthusiasts

For PC building enthusiasts, MSI prepared a full set of premium components.

It includes the MEG X870E ACE MAX motherboard, the MEG CORELIQUID E15 360 liquid cooling system, the MEG MAESTRO 900R case, and the MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 power supply unit.

All of these devices were part of a special demonstration project, the Red Dot PC Build, assembled exclusively from components awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.

Separately, MSI also showcased the MPG VIXTA 300R AIRFLOW PZ case, designed for maximum cooling efficiency thanks to two 160 mm fans and a well-optimized internal layout.

SSDs for data centers and AI systems

In the data storage segment, MSI has for the first time placed strong emphasis on the enterprise market.

The VORTIQ Enterprise series includes SSDs for data centers and AI infrastructure with support for U.2, E3.S, and E1.S form factors.

Maximum capacity reaches 7.68 TB, while sequential read speeds go up to 14.8 GB/s.

For the consumer segment, the company showcased the SPATIUM M571 PCIe 5.0 based on the Phison E28 controller, as well as the DATAMAG LITE portable drive capable of data transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbps.

Gaming routers have also gained NAS server functionality

In the networking segment, MSI introduced a new generation of RadiX WiFi 7 routers.

The devices are equipped with quad-core processors, support wired connections of up to 10 Gbps, and use intelligent algorithms for prioritizing gaming traffic.

The flagship RadiX BE19000 WiFi 7 NAS Lite features an unusual function — a built-in PCIe SSD slot. This allows the router to simultaneously function as a compact network storage device.

Peripherals are reaching a polling rate of up to 8000 Hz

In the gaming accessories lineup, MSI introduced new devices in the Strike series.

Particular attention is drawn to keyboards with magnetic switches and a polling rate of up to 8000 Hz, as well as mice housed in magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis.

The company claims these devices deliver near-instant command response and are primarily aimed at competitive esports.

LuckyClaw becomes the core of MSI’s AI ecosystem

MSI’s ecosystem is completed by the LuckyClaw software platform.

This is a tool for creating, configuring, and running local AI agents on Windows-based computers.

The platform automatically analyzes system configuration and recommends the most suitable language models. It also supports hybrid workflows, allowing tasks to be distributed between local computing and cloud services.

For remote interaction, integration with Telegram and LINE is provided, enabling users to control AI agents through familiar messaging apps.
