Alienware AW3426DW: the new standard of curved QD-OLED monitors with a frequency of 280 Hz
01.07.26
Dell has expanded its gaming lineup by introducing the new Alienware AW3426DW monitor. The device is positioned as a technological and more affordable update of the popular AW3425DW model. The monitor is built on the basis of current Samsung Display panels, which made it possible to improve brightness indicators and anti-glare performance.
Features and features
The basis of the novelty was a 34-inch QD-OLED matrix with a pronounced radius of curvature of 1800R. Users are offered a resolution of WQHD (3440 x 1440 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 21:9. The main trump cards of the panel are a high refresh rate of 280 Hz and a lightning-fast response time of 0.03 ms (GtG in Extreme mode).

The screen provides deep black color and a contrast ratio of 1500000:1. In SDR mode, the brightness is 300 cd/m2, while the peak values in HDR mode reach 1300 cd/m2. Color rendering meets the 99% DCI-P3 standard with Delta E<2 accuracy, which guarantees an excellent picture not only in games, but also in creative tasks.
Screen protection technology
Dell made a bet on durability. The monitor is equipped with a new 5-layer Penta Tandem structure that minimizes the load on the OLED cells, allowing you to maintain high brightness without the risk of early wear. The case also includes a graphite radiator for effective cooling. The protective film of the display has a hardness of 3H (previous generations had 2H) and better resists scratches, while reducing stray lights by 40%.
Functional features

For gamers, the monitor offers a full arsenal of synchronization technologies: AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and VESA AdaptiveSync. Support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats is also implemented with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. For fans of competitive games, eSports Mode is provided, which software limits the active area of the screen to a diagonal of 24.5 inches.
The ergonomic stand allows you to change the height (110 mm), the angle of inclination (-5 ° to 21 °) and the rotation of the screen (-20 ° to 20 °). Users can use Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-by-Picture (PbP) modes.
Connection interfaces

The switching capabilities of the monitor cover the needs of any player:
- 1 x DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC support);
- 2 x HDMI 2.1 (support FRL, VRR);
- 1 x USB Type-B (upstream);
- 1 x USB Type-A (downstream);
- 2 x USB-C (downstream with 15W charging).
One of the USB-C ports is conveniently located on the bottom panel of the case for quick connection of accessories.
Price and release date

The start of delivery of the monitor is scheduled for July 2. At the moment, the device is available for order in a number of European countries. The price in Germany is UAH 36,200 (€809 / $876), and in Great Britain – UAH 36,300 (£709 / $897). Pricing for the North American market will be announced just prior to the July release.
