Zuckerberg introduces AI to Meta management: new agent already working
26.03.26
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is implementing artificial intelligence to assist him in managing the company and to accelerate access to corporate information. According to The Wall Street Journal, the AI agent is already being used to retrieve data without going through multiple management layers and can provide answers to requests that previously required entire teams of employees.
Personal AI Assistants and Internal Tools
The company has already widely adopted personal AI agents for employees. For example, the My Claw tool has access to work chats and documents and can interact with other agents or colleagues on behalf of the user. Separately, Second Brain functions as a system for indexing documents, enabling quick retrieval of project-related information, and has been dubbed “AI chief of staff” within Meta. Internal channels allow agents to exchange data and experiences, gradually becoming part of daily workflows and influencing employee performance assessments.
Structural Changes and Staff Growth
At the same time, the company is reorganizing its teams. The new applied AI engineering group operates under a “flat” hierarchy, with up to 50 engineers reporting to a single manager. To advance this direction, Meta acquired the startup Manus, which develops AI agents for task execution, as well as the Moltbook platform to enable AI interaction within the company. Following staff reductions in 2022–2023, when more than 20,000 employees were laid off, Meta’s workforce has grown again to approximately 78,800 people, with a renewed focus on expanding teams working on artificial intelligence.
