Uber will add an in-app reminder to fasten your seat belt
17.04.24
The Uber app will actively remind passengers to fasten their seat belts while riding. This feature was first tested by the company in 2021, based on driver feedback.
Now the driver’s smartphone will automatically send an audio reminder, urging passengers to fasten their seat belts to ensure their own safety.
Reminder is currently available in the US, UK, Taiwan, Latin America and several African countries, and the company intends to expand its coverage to other countries.
The seat belt reminder will only be activated during the first 5 trips. However, according to Uber’s plans, alerts will be sent every 10th trip to constantly remind you of this important rule.
