Google Pixel 11a promises to be one of the most interesting “a” series models in recent years. According to the latest leaks from a reliable source Mystic Leaks, the new product, codenamed “Formosan”, is preparing surprises, including the choice of a cutting-edge hardware platform.
What is known about the characteristics of Google Pixel 11a
The main sensation concerns the processor. Unlike the Pixel 10a, which launched in March 2026 with the then-outdated Tensor G4 chip, the upcoming Pixel 11a will likely feature the latest Tensor G6 chipset. This is a flagship solution that is rumored to be the first 2nm mobile processor on the market. Version 11a will likely use a slightly less powerful version of this chip, but support for the new MediaTek M90 modem and the use of the Titan M3 security chip should be retained.
The device display will have a diagonal of 6.30 inches with a resolution of 1080p. Excellent brightness is expected, with a peak of 2,250 nits and a maximum achievable of 3,350 nits, with HDR support. The base amount of RAM will remain at 8 GB.
Regarding the battery, the data is being clarified. The specified “minimum capacity” is 4,870 mAh. Most likely, the standard capacity will be 5,100 mAh (like its predecessor) or 5,000 mAh.
Pixel 11a release date
So far, all that is known is that the main Pixel 11 lineup will be officially presented on August 12, but the appearance of the younger version “a” will have to wait. The expected release date of the smartphone is March 2027.
Differences and features of the smartphone
Among other rumored details, it is worth highlighting the new front camera, codenamed “dokkaebi” (detailed specifications of the sensor are still unknown). The smartphone will also be available in four colors: black, green, purple and silver.
