Cadillac Optiq-V turned out to be one of the brand’s fastest cars
13.06.25
Cadillac has officially unveiled the Optiq-V electric crossover, which is one of the brand’s fastest production cars, both gasoline and electric. The new model is equipped with two electric motors that produce a combined 515 horsepower and accelerate the car from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds.
What’s known
The standard Optiq is also not without dynamics – its dual-motor all-wheel drive system develops 300 hp and 480 Nm of torque. However, the Optiq-V version significantly outperforms the base model: 515 hp, 881 Nm and Velocity Max acceleration mode, allowing you to accelerate to 96 km/h in 3.5 seconds – only 0.2 seconds slower than the flagship Lyriq-V.

The increased power was reflected in the range. If the regular Optiq travels up to 486 km on the EPA cycle, the V version will be limited to approximately 443 km from a battery with a capacity of 85 kWh.
The crossover received a number of unique technical solutions: a configurable V-mode, similar to M1/M2 at BMW or N Mode at Hyundai, a Competitive Mode tracking mode, a Launch Control system, as well as Brembo brakes with red or blue calipers. The standard equipment also includes the company’s Super Cruise driver assistance system.
One of the key differences of the Optiq-V was the transition to the Tesla NACS (North American Charging Standard) connector – this is the first GM electric car with such a port. It provides access to the extensive Tesla Supercharger network, but with nuances. The charging connector is located on the front left wing, while most Tesla V3 chargers are designed to be connected to the rear or left. Therefore, owners will have to park unconventionally – perhaps taking up two spaces – until Tesla installs V4 stations with extended cables.

The exterior changes are sporty: an aggressive black front bumper, lower lip and 21-inch wheels. A carbon fiber package with elements for the front splitter, rear diffuser and spoiler is also available. Two original colors are provided: Magnus Metal Frost (gray) and Deep Ocean Tintcoat (blue).
Production and price
The Optiq-V will start production in the fall of 2025. The model will be sold in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Middle East and Israel. The starting price in the United States will be $ 68,795 – $ 14,405 more than the standard all-wheel drive version of the Optiq and about $ 11,000 cheaper than the Lyriq-V.
