OpenAI Codex Micro: The first gadget for developers

The OpenAI company officially presented Codex Micro, its first hardware product released under its own brand. Codex Micro is a specialized macropad designed to interact with the Codex AI agent.
The developer of the device was the company Work Louder, which is known in narrow circles as an expert in the field of custom mechanical keyboards and programmable controllers for IT professionals and designers.
Capabilities and management

The device is made in a compact form factor. The equipment of the device includes individually illuminated keys, a rotary controller and a compact joystick. Using such a unit next to the main keyboard allows developers to quickly issue commands to the Codex neural network and quickly monitor the status of the agents’ work in real time.
Settings and configuration
Flexibility of setting is the main feature of the model. Users can reassign any buttons for specific workflow needs. Among the key usage scenarios, the Push-to-Talk function (press and talk) is noted, as well as a convenient control with which you can smoothly adjust the parameters of the model’s thinking. Included in the basic delivery set are 32 additional interchangeable caps with the Codex Project logo.
Cost

You can buy the device on the Supply Co platform. The cost of the novelty is 230 dollars ($230, which is equal to €210.87 or UAH 9535.66).
It is important to take into account that OpenAI released the gadget in a limited edition – the sale will continue only until stocks in warehouses are exhausted. The exact number of devices available for purchase is not disclosed by the manufacturer.
